The Public Works Institute is a National approved, Chapter-based certificate program focused on management and supervision practices within all areas of Public Works. Topics covered adheres to set of core areas of study which are based on local, regional, and state responsibilities or regulations. Who should attend? The content is designed to address the supervisory and management needs of current first-line supervisors and up, and those individuals aspiring to better leaders and supervisors. Length of course is 90 podium or educational classroom contact hours. No minimum experience or education level is required. Backhoe Ro a deo Skills Competition Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 8am-2pm Coral Springs Public Works Complex 4150 NW 120th Ave Coral Springs, FL 33065 Sign-Up/RSVP ASAP but no later than Friday, April 19th to hemmanuel@coralsprings.gov to reserve your spots Limit: Up to 2 operators per agency ready to compete, and 2 additional agency employees as their cheer team.  Join us for a day of fun and friendly competition as operators from agencies face off for the Coral Springs Public Works and APWA trophies and bragging rights!!! Demonstrate and showcase your skills on the backhoe in the following sample events: Hard Hat Challenge – move 3 hard hats from cone to cone in quickest time Bartender Challenge – fill 2L bottle in quickest time If you have one of the best operators within your agency with the skills to compete among the best equipment operators throughout our interconnect region, then you need to be part of this! It will be a great time of fellowship and friendly competition as we celebrate “Public Works Week” May 19 th – 25 th .
